Providers and Patient Care Websites: Adding, editing or removing

Healthcare providers at UTMB are listed on various patient-facing channels including the patient care website and the find a doctor directory.

Keeping this information accurate is a real team effort!

The clinical and academic teams must ensure the settings and information are accurate in EPIC, and on our web properties by providing information in a timely manner any time there is a new addition to the team, someone's healthcare offerings change, they move to another clinic, their clinical role changes in a way that impacts patient care, or they separate from UTMB.

Remove a Provider

Removing profiles from the patient care website and the find a doctor directory.

When a provider leaves UTMB or is no longer providing patient care, the find a doctor directory will typically update automatically IF there are no open slots for the provider in EPIC. However, the patient care website will need to be manually updated.

If a provider is separating from UTMB due to retirement or moving to a different organization, or any other reason, please complete all necessary steps to ensure they are removed from scheduling in EPIC, and complete the Provider Update Form.
