Eye and Ear Clinical Research Center

Facilities

The Eye and Ear Clinical Research Center established in 2007, is a facility dedicated to human subjects research in Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. The facility, under the direction of Dr. Gianmarco Vizzeri, is housed on the third floor of 700 University Boulevard, in proximity to the Eye and Ear clinics of UTMB. Our administrative offices and records rooms house our clinical research coordinator staff and study regulatory documents. We are a full-service outpatient research center with inpatient service capability in collaboration with the Institute for Translational Research and the General Clinical Research Center in the main hospital complex.

The Eye and Ear Clinical Research Center executes industry sponsored FDA trials, investigator initiated human subject research and translational studies in collaboration with Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology basic science teams. We collaborate with industry sponsors and institutions of note, such as Houston Methodist Research, Duke University, Northwestern University, University of Columbia Medical Center, University of Minnesota, University of Illinois Chicago and University of Nevada Reno in cutting edge research. We bring the future to Eye and Ear Care.
