Research Day, held May 29, is UTMB's annual celebration of innovation, collaboration, and discovery. From insightful investigator spotlights and a powerful keynote talk, to the inaugural poster session and the ever-popular Core Showcase, the day delivered inspiration to attendees from all areas of the institution. A Memorable Day as Physician of the Day at the Texas State Capitol
Dr. Uzoma Obi-Nwankwo served as Physician of the Day for the Texas Legislature on May 13. This role, organized through the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, allows physicians to provide medical care to legislators, staff, and visitors, showcasing the essential role of family medicine in our communities.

The Innovation in Life Sciences Summer Camp, held May 19 and 20, brought together approximately 20 enthusiastic students from the state of Texas for an immersive experience at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
