Bio-Kashif Khan

  • Kashif Jameel Khan, M.D., received his Medical Degree in 2001 from The Aga Khan University in Pakistan. Dr. Khan completed his internal medicine training at Indiana University in Indianapolis in 2007. In 2008, he completed fellowship training in Transplant Hepatology at Indiana University in Indianapolis. Dr. Khan received his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA in 2018. During his Gastroenterology fellowship, he was chief fellow in his final year of training.

    Dr. Khan worked at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA from 2008 to 2015 as a Staff Hepatologist. He joined the faculty at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2018 as Assistant Professor.

    Dr. Khan is a member of ACG (American College of Gastroenterology) and ASGE (American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy).

    He has an interest in various aspects of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. His main interests include viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, liver cirrhosis, colon cancer screening, GERD, Barrett's esophagus and inflammatory bowel disease.
