Tripple, Julia, MD

I am delighted to announce that Dr. Julia Tripple, MD, has been appointed Division Chief of Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Julia W. Tripple is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and serves as Division Director for the Division of Allergy and Immunology. She received her medical degree from UTMB and completed residency training with the Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Following residency, Dr. Tripple returned to UTMB to complete her Fellowship in Allergy & Immunology.

In 2016, Dr. Tripple joined the faculty and has served as Medical Director for Adult Allergy and Immunology outpatient clinics.

Dr. Tripple cares for patients with a variety of allergic and immunologic diseases. She has particular interest in severe asthma and biologics. Dr. Tripple has multiple publications on these topics and has spoken internationally on Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease.

Dr. Tripple is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology (ACAAI). She is also an active member of the Texas Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society (TAAIS) and serves on several committees for these organizations.

Outside of UTMB, Dr. Tripple enjoys spending time with her three children and husband. She enjoys hiking, watercolors, and traveling.
