“Marina Castillo RN, she is our inpatient diabetes educator. She is very committed to caring for patients even after they leave the hospital. She follows up on them by phone to make sure they have their insulin and supplies and works on adjusting their insulin doses to optimize glucose control and avoid an emergency room visit or a hospital admission. She is also active in improving diabetes care in the hospital through quality improvement initiatives and peer education.” - Dr. Belalcazar
