Rita Nwajei is an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She recently joined the Endocrinology team as one of the newest nurse practitioners. She transferred from Correctional Managed Care but was formerly an UTMB ICU nurse that took a short break to do travel nursing for COVID for a little bit. Rita likes to call herself a native Houstonian even though she is not originally from Texas but has been living in the Greater Houston Area since 1993. Rita has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2007 and a Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University in 2010. She received both my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from UTMB in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Rita is excited to be part of the team and eager to learn and grow more as a nurse practitioner.
