Please join us in congratulating NP Jennifer Young from the UTMB Geriatrics House Call Program for being the sole winner of the Excellence in Community Service National Award. She was the final candidate for the prestigious award out of many nominees considered and rigorously evaluated by the Board of Directors and the Select Committee of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA) of America—see letter below. She will be presented with this prestigious national award at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans during the GAPNA 2023 Annual Conference taking place this fall. The award is a recognition of NP Jennifer’s commitment to serving the community and her myriad contributions to the APP profession through advocacy, teaching, high-quality eldercare, scholarship and mentorship.
