OBIOS oversees the Merative MarketScan database, which contains longitudinal medical and pharmacy claims data for over 273 million unique enrollees in United States. The annual medical databases include private-sector health data from approximately 350 payers. Historically, more than 20 billion service records are available in the MarketScan databases.

Besides MarketScan databases, the OBIOS maintains a large set of population-based health datasets. These datasets include: National Inpatient Sample; National Readmission Database; 100% Texas Medicare data; 100% Texas Medicaid data; 100% national Medicare data for hospital discharge, assessments from inpatient rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, and home health care; SEER-Medicare data; and the Texas Cancer registry linked to Medicare data under various CMS and NCI data user agreements. Some of these data are supported by Data Management and Analysis Core for Comparative Effectiveness Research on Cancer in Texas funded by CPRIT.

We have biostatisticians and faculty who are Epic certified. With IRB approval, they can provide support to analyze EPIC EHR data. OBIOS also has experience and expertise in analyzing TriNetX data and will provide technical support. In addition, OBIOS provides technical assistance and methodological consultation to access and analyze publicly available population-based datasets including longitudinal cohort studies and national survey data.
