Integrating Diabetes Prevention Education into Medical Curriculum

The DPP team at UTMB has integrated diabetes prevention education in the medical curriculum. On behalf of the team, Kevin McKinney, MD has presented a poster on our minimester course on prediabetes for UTMB medical students at the UT System Kenneth I. Shine, MD, Academy of Health Science Education 2020 Annual Meeting. Entitled “Integrating Diabetes Prevention Education into the Medical Curriculum”, we documented the experience of the two-week course on prediabetes by discussing the framework, curriculum and students’ feedback. The meeting was held on Thursday and Friday, February 27-28, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
