Academy of Master Teachers (AMT) Faculty Development Day

BRIDGING THE GENERATIONAL GAP IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION
Facilitating Education Across Generations

Examine intergenerational educational differences, along with a workshop designed to brainstorm and evaluate approaches to facilitate intergenerational learning and professional collaboration.

CME, CNE, and CE (for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Care) credits available.

AMA Credit Designation Statement: The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this live activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ANCC Credit Designation Statement: The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this live activity for a maximum of 2 ANCC nursing contact hours. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ASWB Credit Designation Statement: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), The University of Texas Medical Branch is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards have the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 2 continuing education credits.
CDR Credit Designation Statement: This activity is designated for 2 CDR CPEUs. Completion of this RD/DTR profession specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (One IPCE credit = one CPEU). If the activity is dietetics-related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours. RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Log. Sphere and Competency selection is at the learner’s discretion.

Physical Therapy Credit Designation Statement: This activity has been approved by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for 2.00 CCUs for PTs and PTAs. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Occupational Therapy Credit Designation Statement: The Texas Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA) Continuing Education Review Committee has approved this course for the following: 2 contact hours, TOTA approval # 1783. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Respiratory Care Credit Designation Statement: This course has been approved by the Texas Society for Respiratory Care for 2 hours of CRCE. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Clinical Laboratory Sciences Credit Designation Statement: UTMB CLS Program is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. This course is approved for 2 contact hours of P.A.C.E. ®credit. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Attendance & IPCE Credit IPCE Designation Statement: This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 2 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Attendance Designation Statement: This activity is designated for 2 continuing education hours. A certificate of attendance or IPCE credit can be claimed for individuals not covered by the accredited organizations listed above.
