Thank you for your interest in the University of Texas Medical Branch. Each of our four schools has specific admissions instructions and application requirements. Please visit the appropriate page using the links below for school-specific admissions information and/or to apply for admission.

Application information:

Application deadlines and application packet requirements are available on each of the School's Websites.

Applicants to Undergraduate programs at UTMB must be Texas Success Initiative (TSI) compliant prior to enrollment at UTMB. Questions regarding TSI may be directed to Enrollment Services.

Applicants to Undergraduate programs who have not satisfied CORE Curriculum at another Texas educational institution, must satisfy UTMB Core Curriculum requirements before a baccalaureate degree is conferred.

Transcript information:

All transcripts submitted for admission to UTMB must be official (marked “Official” by your school) and sent directly from the school to the Office of Enrollment Services (or the applicable application service). We cannot accept “unofficial” student copies, or official copies sent or delivered by the applicant or student.

Several of our programs require application through a CAS (Centralized Application Service). If you are applying to a program using a CAS, please have your official transcripts sent directly to the CAS. If you had any coursework in progress when your application was submitted, and you are accepted, you will be required to request a final official transcript from the applicable school(s) – following the same conditions mentioned in the previous paragraph.

If you are applying to a program that does not use a CAS, official transcripts must be sent to the Office of Enrollment Services for the final processing of your application. If you have been conditionally accepted pending completion of course work in progress at the time of application, you will be required to have final official transcripts sent by the applicable school.

UTMB accepts the following methods for receiving official transcripts: SPEEDE (electronic transmission of transcript data), secure PDF via the sending school and/or a third-party transcript service, or official paper/hard copy mailed or sent by courier service from the sending school to UTMB.

UTMB encourages the SPEEDE (or electronic transmission) method if your school has this capability. To see if your school has this capability, click here. Otherwise, please have the transcript sent to us using any of the other methods.

The Routing Number - 1305 - must be included to assure that the UTMB Mail Services Department is able to direct your transcript appropriately. We cannot accept transcripts sent or delivered by a student as official. Please also note: if you apply through a CAS, and are accepted to the University, you may still need to have final, official transcripts sent to Enrollment Services. More information on this will be provided if you are accepted.
