Financial Aid Exit Interview Instructions
As a recipient of student financial aid while attending UTMB, you are required to complete a financial aid exit interview if your enrollment status changes to any of the following: less than half time, leave of Absence that exceeds 180 calendar days, dismissal, withdrawal or graduation. (If you are not graduating or did not receive Direct Loans while at UTMB, please email us).
An Exit Hold may be placed on your academic record, preventing you from obtaining university services such as academic transcripts and release of your diploma(s), as well as other university services. This hold will remain in place until you properly complete the student financial aid exit interview.
Please note you will need reference information that includes your spouse, parents, expected employer and 3 personal references. If your parents are deceased, please provide a next of kin. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL. If you do not provide the information or if any of the requested information is missing, your exit interview will be considered incomplete.
For information on loan consolidation, visit Federal Direct Consolidation Loan. Questions regarding your Direct Loan loans should be directed to American Student Assistance or Student Loans.gov.
Any questions regarding the exit process should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
