Annual Security Report (ASR)

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is concerned about the safety and welfare of all campus members and guests and commits itself to promoting a safe and secure environment. Because no campus can totally isolate itself from crime, the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston has developed a series of policies and procedures designed to ensure that every possible precaution is taken to protect the campus community.

Under the Clery Act, UTMB is required to publish an annual security and fire safety report (ASR) by October 1st of each year.  The ASR must be made public providing access to all current and prospective students as well as employees.  The Clery Act requires all colleges and universities to not only publish the ASR and Fire Safety Report to employees and Students, but the ASR must include statistics of campus crime for the preceding 3 calendar year, plus details about efforts taken to improve campus safety.
