The UTMB Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Core Facility provides access to FlowJo™ data analysis software for investigators analyzing flow cytometry data generated in the Core. FlowJo is an industry‑standard platform for flow cytometry data visualization, gating, analysis, and figure preparation.
License Availability
- The Core Facility maintains a FlowJo™ Portal license.
- This license provides web‑based access to FlowJo for analysis of data generated on Core Facility instruments.
- Access is subject to availability.
Access and Use
- The FlowJo Portal license allows login on up to four computers under a single license.
- Users may access FlowJo from any location with internet (Wi‑Fi) access, including outside UTMB.
- Use of FlowJo is limited to academic and research purposes in compliance with UTMB and vendor licensing agreements.
User Responsibilities
Users granted access to FlowJo licenses are responsible for:
- Logging out of the software when analysis is complete
- Ensuring data are properly saved to approved storage locations
- Adhering to UTMB data management and security policies
- Using the software only for approved research activities
Improper use of FlowJo licenses or violation of licensing terms may result in loss of access.
Training and Support
- Basic guidance for FlowJo use may be provided upon request.
- Advanced training, experimental design assistance, and data analysis consultation are available through assisted services or scheduled consultations with Core Facility staff.
