Grateful patient Constance Claypole recounts her experience at UTMB in this letter to the editor. “Dr. Stephen Busby told me of a miracle drug known as tissue plasminogen activator, the clot buster. I met all of the criteria to be able to receive that drug. Once the drug was put into the IV, things started to level out. All of this happened within a period of three hours, which is part of the protocol for the use of this treatment. Thank you, once again, Dr. Busby and all of the fantastic emergency room staff, the technicians that did the echo, CT scans and MRI, the ICU and seventh floor. You are the best.” [Note: Paid subscription required.]
