Bio-Kumar Pallav

  • Dr. Kumar Pallav earned their medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in 2005. He then completed an internship and residency at the Long Island College Hospital in New York in 2010. By 2015, Dr. Pallav finished two fellowships in clinical research in Celiac Disease, and Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He started his career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, serving on multiple committees including recruitment and optimization of clinical services. In 2021, he completed his third fellowship in Interventional Endoscopy before joining the Faculty at UTMB Health.

    Dr. Pallav is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine. His clinical interest includes Celiac Disease, Colon Cancer Prevention, and Therapeutic Endoscopy. In his spare time, he is on the editorial board for the World Journal for Hepatology, World Journal for Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology, and Video Journal for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In 2020, he was awarded the Top Reviewer by the Video Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Journal.
