Branded Apparel
Nothing showcases a brand more powerfully than the people who wear it with pride.
To protect and maintain our identity, all UTMB-branded apparel must follow official standards for logo use, color, and design. The University of Texas System oversees licensing and trademark approvals for all university logos and regulates their use on apparel and promotional products.

Customized Branded Apparel
When adding department names or locations to apparel, place that information separately from the logo—such as on a sleeve or the back.
Always use the full-color UTMB logo when embroidering or printing on apparel. Choose from the approved apparel colors shown, which follow the correct background guidelines. The logo may also appear on hats in a neutral color.
For guidelines on logo usage, please visit our Logo Guidelines.

Trademarks & Licensing
The UTMB/UTMB Health name, seal and logos—with or without tagline, in all approved color combinations—are registered trademarks of The University of Texas System Board of Regents. A licensed vendor is required to produce merchandise featuring the UTMB Health logo or name, whether used for resale or as giveaways.
The UT System Office of Brand, Trademarks and Licensing manages the licensing programs on behalf of all the UT System institutions, including UTMB Health through an agreement with the CLC licensing agency. The licensing policies and procedures ensure consistent application of the UTMB Health brand, protection of use from non-licensed vendors, and, where applicable, proper payment of required royalty fees. Your licensed vendor will handle the approval process with the UT System Office of Brand, Trademarks and Licensing and the CLC online portal for artwork review.
To find a licensed vendor for UTMB Health merchandise, see the UT System Institutions page maintained by the UT System Office of Brand, Trademarks and Licensing. Scroll down to the table and click UTMB’s vendor list link. Check back frequently for updates. (Please note that vendors in UTMB's accounts payable system are not necessarily licensed to produce branded merchandise.)
Before ordering, please ensure you are meeting all UTMB Purchasing requirements, such as estimates and consideration of Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) vendors.
Artwork review generally takes 3-5 business days from the time your vendor adds it to the review portal. Please allow sufficient time for review in case changes are required. Rush requests may be considered but cannot be guaranteed. The Office of Brand, Trademarks and Licensing will contact the UTMB Health Brand Management Team with questions if needed.
Note: There are some exceptions to the licensed vendor requirement. See examples of printed materials that do NOT require the use of a licensed vendor but may require approval from UTMB Health Brand Management Team.
