Monitor

Regular contact to monitor the cancer and ensure it does not continue to grow for the rest of your life

  • At the end of the first 6 months, you will need to have follow-up PSA & MRI tests, as well as complete general health surveys. We will reach out to you in advance to remind you of these tests, make sure you have the necessary documentation and consent forms, and ensure we receive copies of the results.
  • Every 6 months, you need to get a PSA test and complete general health surveys. Annually, you need to get an MRI. We will send you reminders.
  • You do not need to return to Galveston for the ongoing PSA and MRI tests. These can be performed at your preferred, local facility. We will correspond via email, phone, and videoconference. Any follow-up appointments with Dr. Walser will take place via videoconference.
