Dr. Angelica Robinson has accepted the position of "Director At Large for the Gulf Coast Region of the Breast Health Collaborative of Texas".
The Breast Health Collaborative is a network of over
350 nonprofit and corporate organizations and individuals dedicated to
improving access to breast health services. Our mission is to educate,
advocate, and leverage resources to ensure no Texan goes without breast
The responsibilities of a Director At-Large include representing and
reporting on breast health information, access issues, disparities and
needs in their public health service region. There are eight total
public health service regions in the state of Texas. Other academic
institutions including Baylor College of Medicine and M.D. Anderson
Cancer Center are actively involved with this statewide endeavor.
The mission of the Department of Radiology is to provide teaching,
research, and patient care service involving medical imaging and
radiologic intervention at The University of Texas Medical Branch at
Galveston, Texas. The department occupies approximately 65,000 square
feet of space in five separate buildings (including four off-island
Seventeen full-time faculty members who are appointed in the School
of Medicine presently accomplish the academic portion of the mission.
The departmental staff is made up of physicians, scientists,
administrative, technical, nursing, secretarial, and clerical employees
totaling approximately 160 employees.
