Ultrasound

The Ultrasound section in the Department of Radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) performs and interprets gray scale, color, and spectral Doppler sonographic images of abdominal and gynecologic organs, thyroid gland, and vascular system.

Our hospital based facility in Galveston and outpatient imaging centers in League City and Pearland offer leading edge imaging technology. The section houses 6 registered diagnostic medical sonographers and several teaching faculty. Faculty radiologists are available for immediate image interpretation and counseling at all imaging sites.

Faculty members provide numerous resident didactic and case conferences throughout the year and actively participate in multidisciplinary conferences with the surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology and pathology departments.
