How to Apply

Our program participates in the NRMP and all applications are submitted through ERAS. We will be reviewing applications between July and September and interviews of selected applicants will be conducted between September and early November.

The program accepts U.S. citizens, permanent residents and J1 visa holders (H1B visa holders are considered on a case by case basis). Previous training in an accredited Internal Medicine residency program is required. There are no preset requirements for USMLE/COMLEX scores or research experience but the fellowship is quite competitive. Letters of recommendation should be included. We appoint 3-4 fellows per year for a 2 to 3 year training period. UTMB is an Equal Opportunity Employer and applications from women and members of minority groups are strongly encouraged.
