During their research/elective months, ID fellows can pursue additional, specialized clinical experiences in Antimicrobial Stewardship (UTMB), Infection Control/Hospital Epidemiology (UTMB), Pediatric ID (UTMB), Bone Marrow Transplant ID (MD Anderson
Cancer Center in Houston), and Complex Mycobacterial Infections (National Jewish Center in Denver). Special rotations at international sites are also available (Kenya and Peru). Lastly, fellows may be interested in supplementary electives in Allergy
& Immunology, Dermatology, and Clinical Microbiology—among others! We actively encourage our trainees to take full advantage of the wealth of learning experiences available here at UTMB and with our partner institutions.
