The UTMB Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program offers trainees an exceptional clinical experience and abundant opportunities for scholarly and professional development. Offering a unique variety of inpatient and outpatient training venues, our fellows gain experience managing common infectious syndromes along with infections in special populations including people living with HIV/AIDS, organ transplant recipients, burn victims, patients with viral hepatitis, prisoners, international travelers, and more. The combination of a well-balanced two-year curriculum, specialized pathways for obtaining advanced training (including a T32 track in emerging infectious diseases), and access to esteemed faculty all combine to make UTMB a remarkable place to begin a distinctive career in infectious diseases.
