Pediatric Urgent and Emergent care provides a caring environment for children and their families. There is always a board-certified pediatrician on-site to address any child's urgent health care needs. We practice evidence-based medicine to provide outstanding and compassionate care to our patients, exceptional instruction to our learners, and growing access to our community. We utilize our resources conscientiously and strive to create an atmosphere of growth and soul-nurturing for our team. 

  • We are a group of Pediatric Emergency Medicine doctors who have trained at children’s hospitals throughout Texas and the nation.
  • We understand the unique needs of your child and we are experts in the care of sick and injured children.
  • We provide 24-hour seven days a week emergency care for children of all ages.
  • Our physicians work alongside trained emergency nurses all with experience working with children.
  • Through our emergency service, you will have access to a full array of Pediatric surgeons and specialists.
  • Should your child need admission into the hospital, we work hand in hand with Pediatric Hospitalists who staff the 15-bed Pediatric inpatient unit.

    Dr. Rupp is the Medical Director for Island Pedi West. This location offers both Primary Care and Urgent Care Clinics. We provide services to children and youth from birth through 21 years of age.

    Hours:
    Monday - Friday: 8 a.m.– 5 p.m. 

    Urgent Care Clinic Hours - 

    HOURS SUBJECT TO CHANGE DURING COVID-19 SURGES. CALL TO CONFIRM.
    Radiology and Point of Care testing available
    Pediatrician always on site

    Weekday Hours: By Appointment only: Monday: 8am - 3pm AND Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 1pm - 3pm AND Friday 9am - 3pm 
    Weekday Walk-in Hours: 3:00 - 10:00 p.m. 
    Weekend Hours: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
    Most Holidays: 12 noon - 8 p.m.
