CME Accredited Events

The Department of Pediatrics offers two programs accredited by the Baylor College of Medicine Division of Continuing Professional Development for AMA PRA Category 1 credits.

Grand Rounds

Presented three Fridays a month, 8-9 am via ZOOM (due to COVID-19.)
Under Non-COVID conditions, Grand Rounds is presented from Research Building 6 Room 2.312 and transmitted via ZOOM to accommodate off-campus locations.

Annual Pediatric Review Course in June

The Annual Conference on Advances in Pediatrics is presented by UTMB Health Pediatrics.  This educational activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who care for infants, children, and adolescents. It is designed to address the challenges faced in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions impacting infants, children, and adolescents. Participants have the opportunity to earn AMA PRA Category 1 credits (ACCME) and CNE credits (ANCCCA).

Complete a one-time Baylor College of Medicine learner profile. 
NOTE:  PROFILE SET-UP IS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE CME CREDIT

    Completing your Baylor Learner Profile will allow you to sign-in/register for our Pediatric Grand Rounds and any other UTMB CME event.  We encourage everyone to set-up their learner profile whether or not you are seeking CME credit. For assistance, we have put together a GrandRounds checklist for you. 

    For personal reports of credit, you will still have access to your old records via CMETracker. Ultimately this will all be merged into the Baylor records. 

Risk Management Education Credits

Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) Conferences 

The M & M Conferences are presented at least quarterly to satisfy institutional risk management requirements, 8-9 am via ZOOM (due to COVID-19.)
Under Non-COVID conditions, Grand Rounds is presented from Research Building 6 Room 2.312 and transmitted via ZOOM to accommodate off-campus locations.

External Educational Events

The faculty members of the department are available as speakers for CME and non-CME events at external sites. Pediatric specialists can assist in educational activities for a wide variety of contemporary topics.
