Joint Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

AMA Credit Designation Statement

The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this live activity for a maximum of 11 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Maintenance of Certification, American Board of Pediatrics

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 11.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

ANCC Credit Designation Statement

The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this live activity for a maximum of 11 ANCC nursing contact hours. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ASWB Credit Designation Statement

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), The University of Texas Medical Branch is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards have the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 11 continuing education credits.

Pharmacy Designation Statement

The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this activity for 11 ACPE contact hours under UAN JA4008425-0000-26-002-L99-P. Credits will be provided to NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity completion. Pharmacist must provide their NABP e-profile ID and Date of Birth in their CME Tracker Profile for credits to be reported to CPE Monitor. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
