DOES YOUR INFANT HAVE ECZEMA OR AN EGG ALLERGY?

Infants age four months to 11 months of age with moderate to severe eczema using SCORAD evaluation AND/OR egg allergy will be evaluated for peanut sensitivity and started on early peanut introduction to reduce the likelihood of developing a peanut allergy later in life.

Early Peanut Introduction (EPI) Clinic is every Tuesday at UTMB Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Clinic, Pediatric Center at Bay Colony.

utmb receives 3-year grant to research breast milk's covid-19 antibodies 

by the Houston Chronicle

 Dr. Roberto Garofalo, Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Pediatrics is awarded a grant from the Gerber Foundation. The foundation approved a three-year, $300,000 grant for UTMB to determine whether breast milk has an innate ability to stop the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the novel coronavirus.
