Welcome Rene Vela to the Department of Pediatrics team! Rene joins us as Office Manager for the Department of Pediatrics. In this role, Rene will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Chair and Chairman’s Office while providing leadership and oversight of the Department’s administrative functions. Additionally, he will supervise administrative personnel, and provide strategic direction in support of Departmental goals and objectives, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and confidentiality. In the coming weeks, Rene will meet with administrative staff and divisional leaders to get to know the team and assess administrative functions across the Department including existing processes, needs, and unique challenges within each division and to collaboratively identify opportunities for improvement.
