Interview Schedule

In order to be considered for admission, you must be invited for a virtual interview. This cycle, interviews are held on Wednesdays and Fridays. Each day we will interview approximately 30 applicants utilizing the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format. The UTMB MMI will consist of a welcome, curriculum presentation, Curriculum Dean Q&A, a virtual campus tour, a student panel, and multiple mini interviews.

The UTMB MMI will consist of nine 8-minute interviews. Applicants will have 3 minutes to read a scenario before each interview. Your interviewer will then connect, and you will have 8 minutes to respond and engage in dialogue regarding the scenario. You will be interviewed by UTMB faculty, staff, residents, and students. During two of the nine interviews, you will have the opportunity to sell yourself, discuss your interest in UTMB, and ask questions of our faculty.

Policy for Assigning Interview Dates

Initial Interview Date:

Once an applicant has been granted an interview, the following procedures are used to assign an initial interview date.

Applicants will have the opportunity to choose from 3 interview dates selected by the new AMP application system. Once the applicant makes their interview day selection, confirmation will be sent to both the Office of Admissions and the applicant. All pertinent interview day details will be sent to the applicant via email.

Rescheduling Interview Dates:

The Office of Admissions recognizes that there are extenuating circumstances that may arise which will necessitate rescheduling of an interview date after the date has been confirmed. The applicant must notify the Office of Admissions as soon as the conflict is identified. Such extenuating circumstances will include only serious, unavoidable conflicts such as illness and personal or family emergencies. Rescheduling may result in an a late interview date during the interview season.
