Biography
Bertha Mendieta , BS, PA-C, was born and raised in Robstown , Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Texas A&I University , Kingsville , Texas in 1982 then graduated from the UTMB Physician Assistant Program in 1984 . After graduation, she took a job as a physician assistant at Victoria Regional Medical Center later joining the Victoria Surgical Associates in 1999. She has served as the clinical instructor/ coordinator for the UTMB South Texas/Victoria satellite rotations since 1988. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants, and she has served as a board member for Pecan Valley AHEC. She is a DFAAPA, and a member of the Pi Alpha Honorary PA Society. Ms. Mendieta is married to Tony Mendieta, a native Victorian, and she has three grown children, including a set of twins. She thoroughly enjoys being a preceptor and she loves spending time with her family, friends, traveling and her grandbaby.
