Bio-Martin Montes

  • After graduating from medical school in Perú, Dr. Montes pursued postdoctoral training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in the United States. In 2003, Dr. Montes was the first trainee to participate in the Baylor-Cayetano Heredia Training Program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston under Dr. A. Clinton White. He studied and trained in immunology and participated in the Clinical Scientist Training Program. Dr. Montes returned to Perú in 2005 where he is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and a Research Associate at the Instituto de Medicina Tropical (IMT) Alexander von Humboldt at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. He is Director of the Immunology Laboratory and Cryobank at IMT.
