Application Process

The University of Texas Medical Branch’s Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program normally accepts one new fellow each year, with a total of up to 3 fellows at a time in our program. Application requirements for our program include all of the following: 1) successful completion of ACGME-approved pediatric residency, 2) qualified to apply for full medical licensure in the State of Texas, and 3a) U.S. citizenship or permanent U.S. resident status, or 3b) foreign medical graduates.

Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and accepts only ERAS applications submitted. 

In addition, we require the following:

  1. Three ERAS letters of recommendation
  2. A photocopy of your medical school diploma
  3. A recent copy of your CV

International Medical Graduates are accepted and welcome to apply, however, we will only sponsor a J-1 Visa.

All completed applications are reviewed by the program director and selection committee for interview selection. Interviews are conducted from September through November.
