Perinatal Hospice

The UTMB Perinatal Hospice and Palliative Care Program supports families dealing with unborn babies with lethal diagnosis, critically ill babies not expected to survive, and babies that have been lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth or extreme prematurity.  Fellows work close with neonatology faculty for prenatal consultations.

Loss of a child is one of the hardest things a parent can experience. They need not to walk this journey alone.

At UTMB we do everything we can to honor these babies and their families. While we cannot make the pain disappear, we do our best to ease suffering and be a kind guide on the path.
