Osler OrationJohn P. McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine

The annual Osler Oration is held on or about July 12, William Osler's birthday.

The twenty-second annual event celebrating Sir William Osler's 174th birthday was held on July 14,  2023 in the Levin Hall dining room on the campus of UTMB.

The event featured the induction of the Osler Scholars, Osler Student Scholars, and the recognition of the recipients of the John P. McGovern Lifetime Achievement Award in Oslerian Medicine, Excellence in Clinical Teaching Awards and the John and Mary Ann Stobo Award. 

The 2023 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is Dr. Janak A. Patel.
