Willie O’s Dinner

Each year, all School of Medicine classes are invited to this formal dinner to warmly welcome and honor the incoming first-year medical students.

During the evening, the Osler Student Societies Leadership & Mentorship Award are presented. These annual awards recognize 4th years who began their journey as members of the OSS Leadership Team and continued to serve as mentors, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to their societies throughout all four years.

Their continued commitment reflects the values of Sir William Osler—leadership through service, dedication to students, and a genuine commitment to helping others grow. Through their time, mentorship, and unwavering support, they have made a lasting impact on the Osler Student Society community.

In addition to the awards, the societies compete for a bonus to their annual budget by delivering creative and compelling presentations that showcase the legacy and spirit of their society's namesake.
