The John P. McGovern Osler Student Societies Medallion Awards are given in recognition to a first, second, third and fourth year medical student based on submissions of medical humanities related projects which may include essays, art, music, or performance art. Submissions will be solicited beginning in July with closure for submissions on August 31st.  Finalists from each class will be determined by September 15th and presentations of the finalists’ work will occur prior to the Annual Willie O’s Dinner. Awardees will be announced at the Willie O’s Dinner. Awards will include the inscription of the Awardee’s name on the back of the Medallion, the right to carry the Medallion for the remainder of the academic year, and a $500 award.
