Medallion Awards

The John P. McGovern Osler Student Societies Medallion Awards will be given based on submissions of medical humanities related projects which may include essays, art, music, or performance art. Submissions will be solicited from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students. Awardees are announced at the Annual Willie O’s Dinner in September. Awards will include the Medallion with inscription of the recipient’s name on the back and a monetary gift. In 2023, the awardees were MS1 Annie Tao, with her drawing "Flowers, Science & a Lovely Individual"; MS2 Bunnarin Theng, with his poem "Healing Grace"; MS3 Justin Yun, with his cotton thread on canvas "In Lieu of Flowers"; and MS4 Thien Hoang, with her artwork "Crossroads".
